Board Certified Pathologist Returns to Conemaugh Memorial

James Pisano, MD has returned to Conemaugh Memorial to work as a Pathologist. Dr. Pisano completed his residency at Conemaugh Memorial/ Temple University and worked at Conemaugh for several years before taking various positions throughout Pennsylvania and New York including work as Director of the Department of Pathology at Westmoreland Regional Hospital and Chairman of the Department of Pathology at Excela Health.

A native of Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Pisano’s father and two of his sibling are also physicians. He was drawn to the field of pathology because of its visual nature. “Pathology is a challenging and broad field,” says Dr. Pisano. “I had great teachers in medical school and really enjoyed this specialty.”

Board certified in Pathology, Dr. Pisano is a graduate of Columbia College in New York City where he studied Ancient Greek. He then graduated from Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey before completing his residency training at Conemaugh.
