Claudia Rager was named Vice President of Patient Care Services at Conemaugh Health System in 1996.
Ms. Rager began working at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in 1975. She has more than 40 years experience in the health care industry in management and direct care provision. Her clinical background, along with her advanced business education, has resulted in a valuable combination for the health care industry. She has substantial experience interacting with physicians, resulting in beneficial collaborative outcomes. Her strengths include planning, project management, problem solving, performance improvement, and team work.
Ms. Rager is a member of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders and the American Organization of Nurse Executives. She is Co-Chair of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Committee of the Healthcare Council of Western Pennsylvania and was recently appointment as a member of the Alleghenies Unlimited Care Providers Board of Directors.
Ms. Rager received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984 and earned a Masters of Business Administration from Saint Francis University in 1998. She received the 1998 Excellence Award in Graduate Business Studies and was presented with the YWCA Tribute to Women Award in 2005. Pennsylvania and Marcellus Business Central's annual "Women Making a Difference" award was given to Ms. Rager in November 2014.
